Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 2026

Welcome to Empower Behaviour Consulting Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and your engagement with our services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Empower Behaviour Consulting Inc. provides behaviour consultation and therapy services, including:

  • Initial assessments

  • Behaviour consultation and therapy

  • Parent/caregiver coaching

  • School and educator collaboration

  • Clinical supervision services

 

We do not provide medical diagnoses. All services are delivered in accordance with applicable professional standards and regulations.

2. Telehealth and Virtual Services

We offer services through secure virtual platforms, including Jane App.

By participating in virtual services, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for ensuring a private and appropriate environment

  • You are responsible for having the necessary technology and internet access

  • Electronic communication may carry inherent privacy and security risks

 

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of electronic communications.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients and caregivers agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information

  • Participate actively in services and treatment planning

  • Attend scheduled appointments on time

  • Implement agreed-upon strategies where appropriate

 

For child clients, parents or legal guardians are responsible for decision-making and participation.

4. Fees and Payments

All fees are charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed

  • Payments are processed through Jane App (credit/debit) or via e-transfer

  • You are responsible for any fees not covered by insurance, funding programs, or third parties

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full session fee

  • Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may result in suspension or discontinuation of services

6. Privacy and Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal and health information in accordance with applicable laws, including:

  • Health Information Protection Act (HIPA)

  • PIPEDA

 

Information shared with us is kept confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law, including:

  • Risk of harm to the client or others

  • Suspected child abuse or neglect

  • Legal or court-ordered disclosure

7. Limits of Service (No Emergency Care)

Empower Behaviour Consulting Inc. does not provide emergency or crisis services.

 

If you or your child are in immediate danger or require urgent support, please call 911 or contact your local emergency services.

 

We do not monitor communications for urgent or emergency situations.

8. No Guarantees of Outcomes

Behavioural and clinical outcomes vary based on many factors. We do not guarantee specific results or outcomes from our services.

9. Intellectual Property

All materials provided, including reports, assessments, and resources, are the property of Empower Behaviour Consulting Inc.

 

These materials are for your personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Empower Behaviour Consulting Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services.

 

Our total liability, where applicable, is limited to the amount paid for the services in question.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the laws of Canada.

 

Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Saskatchewan.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.
